How should I submit a variety site?

Greetings,

I have an information and entertainment website http://www.swcp.com/~montefin/ that has several sizable areas that focus on specific interests, i.e. low carb recipes, ceramic pottery, zen, humor & comics, and online games.

On February 15, 2005, I submitted the pottery area http://www.swcp.com/~montefin/pottery/POTTERY.html to
http://dmoz.com/Arts/Crafts/Pottery.../United_States/ . I checked on its status and was told it is in the queue.

On March 27, 2005, I submitted the low carb recipe area http://www.swcp.com/~montefin/pottery/RECIPES.html to
http://dmoz.org/Home/Cooking/Special_Diets/Low_Carbohydrate/ . I have not checked on its status yet as a month has not passed.

Eventually, I would love to see each individual area find a listing in its appropriate ODP category.

But the more I read in the forum here, the less I'm sure that following an independent submission path for each area of interest is the right way to go about it.

Perhaps I should just submit the root URL http://www.swcp.com/~montefin/ ? But then how would the various categories be handled?

I don't want to do anything to slow down my current submissions, but I do want to submit in the manner most effective for the reviewing editor(s) and with the highest likelihood of my site's eventually being included in the ODP.

Also, I submitted under the URL http://www.swcp.com/~montefin/ although the site(s) can be reached via http://www.montefin.com/~montefin/ . My reading of the submission guidelines made me believe that was the right way. Is that correct? Or, would it be permissable to use montefin.com, which is how most of the inbound links on the Internet direct visitors to the site?

Tia for any suggestions,

montefin
