Hello, there.

I suggested a site half a year ago.

And then I found this place and realized that it should not be suggested.
Is there a way to un-suggest that website?
It is not yet listed in dmoz.

THanks for your help.

Tom, there really isn't a way to unsuggest a site. If the site isn't listable then it won't be listed. If on the other hand if it is listable and you don't want it listed, that presents a different problem since we regularly list sites we find on our own without having ever been suggested. The only sure way to prevent it from being listed would be to make it unlistable :)

Is there a reason for wanting to cancel the suggestion? I don't know of a reason off the top of my head as to why we would cancel a suggestion but there could be I suppose.

You could suggest the main site that should be considered to the same category and include a note in [ ] stating that it replaces the previous url which was already suggested and why. That should be sufficient to over write the existing suggestion if it hasn't allready been changed by a reviewing editor. If the site is clearly a sub-site of another, a reviewing editor will in most cases change the url manually upon review and either review the main url then or leave in unreviewed for later depending on time and other current projects.

Hope that helps.
