How to change categories

We initially submitted our site to the wrong category. We have since confirmed which category is best and wish to have the change made. We have re-submitted to the appropriate category but we are wondering if that was the correct thing to do. (And we don't want to wait 10 months to find out we did something wrong) Is there an update form that is different from the regular suggest Url form? Is there anything else we should do to have the change made?

Yeah, that's fine. We're mostly human here so we make mistakes too.

One other thing that you can do would be a courtesy -- it is not required, though.

Resubmit the URL to the same WRONG category with a suggested description that says "please ignore this submittal -- URL has been resubmitted to [whatever the right category is].

That'll save the editor a minute or two cleaning up the mess, and you'll come out with a reputation as an imperfect but helpful submitter.
