kosar,
I would encourage you to read the
Forum FaQ. It offers answers to this and many of the most frequent questions.
As far as knowing whether or not the site was accepted for a listing the only way you are going to know is by navigating to the category it was suggested to and looking or you can try searching by using search but the directory search feature is known to be problematic. We no longer provide status checks for reasons outlined in the sticky thread at the top of the forums.
There is no reason to resuggest the site for review unless:
- The sites content has significantly changed since the original suggestion and it now belongs in a different category.
- If you have reason to believe it was suggested to an inappropriate category.
or
- If you feel there might have been an error during the submission process. (i.e you didn't see the confirmation screen after you suggested your url)
Sites suggested don't expire, they will sit until action is taken by an editor so if your suggestion was successfull (you saw the 'Thank you' screen after your suggestion was made) then it will sit there until reviewed or moved by an editor so there is no reason to worry about re-submission. In any of the three scenarios above, 1 resuggestion wouldn't have a negative effect, but resuggestions of the site multiple times can only hinder the review process.
Hope that helps!
