How to get Goog Ranking and good PR in Google

Dear SEOs fellows,
i am optimizing a site http://www.premiercages.co.uk related to Parrot cages, bird cages and supplies such as parrot and bird toys, play stands, feeders, air filters etc. i have also tried link exchange, but i am unable to get good PR and ranking in google, so plz guide me what to do now .

You've got some good content there so you should be okay. All things take time.

I notice that off your site map you've got links to static "html" pages but off the home page you've got some kind of dynamic system - what's going on there?

Do something about your titles. Put the name of your company in there and make them less obviously spammy.

You need some alt text for those images at the top.

Have your company name and some important keywords as heading text.

Your best content is being linked to right from the bottom. Most of the links on the right don't look interesting and (due to lack of alt text) I can't tell what those at the top do. Have some links to interesting content higher up and more prominent.

Don't play games with link exchange and other external programs - they'll bite you back. Continue adding good content but link to it prominently - if you don't give it a prominent linking, noone else will.
