How to have old listing reviewed

Hello!

Our site used to be posted in the directory. Unfortunately, poor citation caused the listing to be removed a few years ago. All issues have long been resolved. I was told (once again, some time ago) that its status could be re-reviewed (no longer flagged) once in good order. How would I go about doing this?

Let me know if it's alright to mention the site/URL--I noticed you had guidelines about doing that!

Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks for not posting a URL as we don't discuss specific sites here. The answer to your questions is that if you now feel it may be listable it is acceptable to resuggest the site to the single most relevant category one time. An editor will eventually have a chance to review the suggestion and process it accordingly. There is no way to predict how long that will take.

Hope that helps.

And, if past issues are of concern, instead of offering a suggested description, use that space to address the issues that have been resolved. Descritoins we can and do write every day.

Do category editors have the authority to remove whatever flags might be associated with a URL? (Clearly don't know how this stuff works!) At the time, the section editor told me it had been "flagged," but could be reviewed. (Once again, it's been a few years).

FYI, the problem was info from DMOZ hadn't been clearly cited--no issues with the site itself. We decided to just play it safe and completely remove all directory info and create our own. A few years have passed now... I'm not sure who to follow up with.

If you state that in the description field it should be enough. An editor who feels the note is no longer relevant will request its removal in the internal forums if they cannot do it themselves.

The usual disclaimer applies - we cannot guarentee how long it will be before the site is reviewed so the best thing in this case is having resuggested it, to forget about it.
