How to properly move my site to different category?

Hi,

My site was in a proper category and it slowly changed into a different subject so I would like to move it to a new proper category.

I read through the forum and I think the right thing to do was just submit my site to the new proper category and wait.

Is this the correct thing to do? Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks.

Submit an update request to the category where the site is already listed, making sure you explain clearly the where to and why of this request.

Include a link to this thread maybe too?

No, don't do that. Instead, go to the category where it now is, and click "Update URL". There's a place you can type the "reason for change" -- specify the new category you think it would fit better, and mention the content change.

And don't use the update to try and stuff the title and description full of keywords. When editors see that they sometimes completely miss the legitimate part of the update request.

eeek! Ok, thanks for the help.

Should I just not worry about submission I made?

For anyone confused.... Post #3 is disagreeing with Post #1, not with Post #2.

Post #2 and Post #3 say essentially the same thing.... and were posted seconds apart.
