How to recover from a poorly-written site description?

In my ignorance and impatience, I submitted a site without really understanding the importance of being factual and brief.

I would now like to re-submit, but I am desperately worried that this will look like I am trying to rush the editorial process.

I would very much like some advice on how to recover from this blunder.

Many Thanks,

MA Schneider

OK, we're willing to try and help. But first.....

What does:
I submitted a site without really understanding the importance of being factual and brief.
mean?

Give us your URL, the category where you made your submission, and the approximate date of submission.

We, in turn (assuming at least 30 days have passed since you submitted) will take a peek and let you know if any corrective action is called for.

If you are simply worried that your suggested title and description were out of focus and perhaps inappropriate -- then don't worry. As a matter of course we rewite about 99% of these in the course of doing our work here, and I doubt you could shock us.

In any event, we neither accept nor reject a site on the basis of its submitted title and description.

For spectregunner re: poor descriptiion

The url is www.mothershipadventures.com

It was submitted yesterday, in :

Top: Regional: North America: Canada: Travel and Tourism: Travel Services: Tour Operators: Adventure Travel

But it also probably deserves to be in this directory as well:

Top: Regional: North America: Canada: Travel and Tourism: Travel Services: Tour Operators: Ecotourism (8)

Once I discovered my error I was loathe to try it in another category in case this was interpreted as queue-jumping...if I had to chose one it would probably be the latter.

The more restrained description should be something like:

"Offers eco-cruises aboard the elegant Columbia III mothership, and kayak trips for those wanting to explore the remote Inside Passage of British Columbia."

It is truly a lovely ship, btw. I am doing this as a favour to my friend who just acquired this historic BC 'mini-ship'. Come for a visit! You are invited!!

Many thanks for your help!

Don't worry about it. We'll rewrite it according to our editor guidelines, and move it to a different category if needed, at evaluation time.

Please don't ask for a status report until May 22nd at the earliest.

<added> It looks as though it belongs within BC and not at Canada level. We'll move it in due course.</added>
