Hi, I would like to suggest a site for the directory: REGIONAL, because it is a site that describes all the countries of the World. How can I do it, if there isn't the suggestion form?

Thank you

You can´t suggest a site at that level. Find a more specialized category.

But it is a site like (and maybe better then) the other sites listed in that category, the only alternative is to submit each page in each country section, but it seems like a spam.

What you described is spam. Please do not do that.

Generally speaking, sites in Regional are based upon their physical location, not upon their area of coverage, where their customer come from, or where they discuss.

Without providing a URL, and speaking in general terms, what do you mean the site describes all the countries of the world? What type (generic) of site is it?

I didn't write the URL because I thought that it was forbidden, or someone could think that I would sugget this site from the forum.
The site describes all the countries of the world, as I said, and it speak about geography, history, economy, politics and others...

I choose Regional because it's the only directory with site like this.

I would say that it probably doesn't belong in Regional at all. Try looking elsewhere (somewhere in Reference, perhaps) for a better place to suggest it.

I would think that somewhere in Reference would be a logical place, though there are a couple of sites that fit this description at the top level of Regional, including the CIA factbook which is cooled there.

I saw Reference and the closer category to this site would be Geographic, but there is a redirect to Maps, and the site I want suggest has nothing to share with the other sites listed in Maps.

I understand that maybe this is an unusual suggestion request, but I don't want burn out a very good site only because I choose the wrong category. So if someone would help me, could explain me why is it impossible to suggest a site in Regional? Will it be changed in the next months? Will you create a new section Regional/Guide?

thanks all of you

The ability to suggest sites is routinely turned off at high levels like top level http://dmoz.org/Regional because very few sites will ever be listable there -- if we left suggestions turned on, everyone and their dog would be suggesting their sites there. http://www.dmoz.org/Recreation/Travel/Guides_and_Directories/ might be appropriate.

Really, you just need to pick the best category you can find for the content and, if it isn't the right place, an editor will eventually move it to the right one for someone to review. Picking the wrong category won't cause your suggestion to be deleted.
