How to tell if site previously submitted?

I have recently become web master of a couple of previously existing sites and have reason to believe they may have already been submitted to the ODP several months ago. However, I have no information on which category the submissions were made and therefore lack sufficient information to post in the "Site Submission Status" forum.

Should I resubmit (assuming they were submitted in the first place)? or is there some other action to identify a category in which they may be waiting?

We have no practical way of sorting through all the unprocessed submissions to find yours so simply resubmit - and keep a note of the categories chosen.
