If an editor is assigned to a given category, their name is at the bottom of the category, but beware, that information is misleading: no editor has exclusive rights to a category. Any editor in a category direcrtly about it in the tree can edit there, as can the more than 200 editors with Editall or Meta editing designations.

You should not contact the eidtor directly. If you believe that the URL needs to be updated, you should go to the category where it is listed, and select 'Update URL" and describe your proposed change.

Vanity changes rarely get accepted, nor do attempts to keyword stuff the title or description. If the update request points out a factual error/omission, it will receive due consideration.

There's another way in which that list of editors may be misleading. An editor may be currently "inactive" or "almost inactive", in which case they are not who you wish to contact. (You don't have access to information on editors' level of activity.)

Thanks for the HOW TO data

Thanks for the "how to" data. I do not know how long it will take for any update to take effect, I guess I can remove my url via my ftp program.
Thanks, BH :)

In theory, it can take as long as any given submission: from one day to more than two years. In practical terms, most editors make an effort to process updates before new submissions, so the wait time should not be unreasonable.
