To suggest a website / blog to DMOZ you do not need to become an editor.
Just go to the category where the website could be listed best and click the "suggest URL" link at the top of the page.

But if you only want to become an editor to list your own website than please do not waste your and our time. We are not looking for people who are only interested in the listing of their own website.
