OK, thanks. That general area doesn't look like a beehive
of editing activity, but I'm not in any particular hurry.

I'm not sure your site belongs in a business category.

Yeah, I wondered about that for a while, flipping back and forth between Recreation/Trains_and_Railroads/ and Business/Transportation_and_Logistics/Urban_Transport/ .

The former seemed to me to be oriented towards "real railroads," although now that I look at the Personal Pages subcat again, I do see some subway-oriented sites.

On the other hand, the Urban Transport category does have a number of enthusiasts' sites, for example under .../Urban_Transport/Tramways_and_LRT/ and .../Urban_Transport/Transit_Systems/Subways/. Also, at the top level of .../Urban_Transport/Transit_Systems/Regional/ there are a couple of sites that have the same basic concept as mine, but are international in scope whereas mine is (so far) focused on the United States.

I'm not an editor, of course (although I'm seriously thinking of applying to become one), but if I were one, I'd propose putting all the transit enthusiasts' sites somewhere under Recreation, either as a subcategory of Trains and Railroads, or as a parallel Recreation/Urban_Transport (because there are sites that are oriented towards urban buses as well as rail).

I see it's been about a couple of months since I last inquired. Any change in status?

After reading these forums for a while, I now appreciate that existing listings don't always indicate the best placement for a new site because of changes in editing guidelines and so on. Therefore, if you all think that among the currently-existing categories, someplace like Recreation / Trains and Railroads / Photographs would be better suited for my submission, I wouldn't object to moving it there.

I still think a case can be made for a separate category for urban-transport hobbyists, but I'll wait until (if) I become an editor and get some experience before I try to do it seriously.

Aha, I now see that somebody did just that. Thanks!
