Submitted date unsure. I personally submitted site back in Feburary. Since it did not get listed I had a more qualified person submit for me early last month. Still no listing.

Can you please let me know if it is still waiting in line or if there is something wrong. I believe everything is in order.

Are you sure that was the category you submitted to? I don't see your site in the queue, and there's no evidence of it ever having been there. It looks like you need to re-submit it.

I can't imagine anyone more qualified to submit a site than its owner. Don't let submission services fleece you out of cash for doing nothing more than you did.

I personally submitted http://www.barterco.com to http://www.dmoz.org/Business/International_Business_and_Trade/Barter/. Can you please check to see if my submission is now in the cue. If possible how many sites are in the cue with me?

I see a submission for that URL dated 12-June in a list of less than 50 sites.

Back on June 12, 2003 I added www.barterco.com to the category http://www.dmoz.org/Business/International_Business_and_Trade/Barter/. Three months later I have still not been added to the directory. I noticed on the site the editor benove has not made any changes since June 5, 2003. Is this normal. Is it possible that this person is not an editor? Is my submission still in the cue? Besides more waiting what else can be done to get my site added. Thanks in advance.

This Regional listing does not affect your other submission, which is still unreviewed.

As for editing activity, our current version of that category shows: "Last update: 9:09 PT, Saturday, September 6, 2003". The public pages should be updated within 7-10 days, but if they aren't -- they'll be updated later.

As for who dun what, we won't tell. Hundreds of higher-level-category (which usually means more-active) editors can edit there.

As for your submittal, the site is listed in http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Georgia/Localities/K/Kennesaw/Business_and_Economy which was apparently thought to be a better category than Business/INTERNATIONAL_Business_and_Trade/Barter/ for a site that did not seem to be about International Business of any kind. (I can't speak of assurance about the reasoning: I can only confirm the fact of the listing, and the impression I got from the site.)

Although a site may be CONSIDERED for both Regional and Topical listings, a site with primarily local interest will only be listed in the Regional category. If the impression given was erroneous, and the business actually has international connections, then make sure the website reflects that (by giving information about them), before considering resubmitting to the Business category.
