We have been trying to get our site http://www.betonmarkets.com listed at http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Investing/Games/ for more than a year now and its somewhat weird than one of our affiliates has managed to get his site http://www.betonmarkets.info listed in the directory yet we are still missing. I don't wish any harm to our affiliate but I have to stress that we are wholly separate from him. Unfortunately I have submitted our site several times (with about 3 months intervals since it was never listed) and its only now that i've realised was a serious mistake. Our site is perfect for the games section - we offer a financial betting stock market game on forex, stocks and indices and users can either create a virtual money account and play for free or create a real money account to bet with real money. We are most probably the leaders in the financial betting field and have clients who bet with just $5 and others who bet with $15000 at one time.

The affiliate site shouldn't have been listed anyway but that's been corrected. Betonmarkets.com is a mirror of xodds.com which is already listed so it won't be listed.

Motsa its not really a mirror - take a closer look to Xodds.com and Betonmarkets.com

On Xodds.com Bull and Spread Contracts are available which are missing on Betonmarkets.com. Besides that both sites have different forums and the design is a lot different. Also, the sites are legally separate and licensed in different jurisdictions.

Site design and exact content are not factors in deciding whether they get a listing. The fact is that both sites belong to the same company, and are the products and services that they deal with are very closely related (both deal with betting on the markets). Therefore they fall under the category of what we call "Fraternal Mirrors" - only one can be listed, as is the policy of the ODP.

If the company chooses to divide it's services between two web sites, then that is its decision, but it will not be taken into account by the ODP in terms of listings. If you want customers to see everything that you have, I would sugegst links between the sites, so that they can get from one to another.

The design and jurisdiction might be different but both are pulling information from tradeodds.com. Only one can be listed and since, in your own words, xodds.com has stuff that betonmarkets.com doesn't, xodds.com would seem to be the appropriate one to list. I have no idea why you guys chose to set up your series of sites in such a convoluted way but from an ODP perspective, they're one site. Personally, I think I would have listed the parent company (http://www.fixedoddsgroup.com/fog/companyprofile.html) instead but that's just me.

The Xodds and Betonmarkets sites are licensed in different jurisdictions and have two different registered offices. We cannot offer spread betting on Betonmarkets.com under our current Maltese operating license; that's the reason they are only available on Xodds.com Also, the pricing of contracts on Betonmarkets differ from those on Xodds - may be more or less expensive in accordance to the tax regime policy effecting specific bets btw - our corporate site Fixedoddsgroup.com is down for re-design.

You can let us know which *one* URL you want the company listed under. You will not be getting more than one listing for that company. Please don't continue this debate - you're bringing up points which have been brought up many times on this forum already, and it won't change the policy of the ODP.

When it comes up, you can request that it be listed instead of one of your 'vanity domain' subsites.
