http://www.bozemanonline.com

2 years ago the site was found to be dead, so it got removed. I see it awaiting review now, though.

Just wondering if there has been any change to the status of this website?...also i notice that there is a last updated date for the section I have submitted to of May 2002. Is that actually the last time someone has accessed that section to add websites??

thanks for your help

No. That's not the last time someone accessed the section for editorial purposes (which include but are not restricted to "adding websites.")

That's the last time someone actually made a change that would be visible on the public side -- that is, INCLUDING adding, deleting, or updating websites, as well as changing the "Mozzie" lizard image; but EXCLUDING reviewing site submittals that ended up being deferred, rejected, or moved elsewhere.

It is definitely NOT the last time "all the unreviewed sites were fully processed," in fact, as noted above, changes in unreviewed sites' status don't affect the public page.
In short, it's not likely to mean whatever it is that you want it to mean.

A simple "No" would have been ok, but I have days like that too. While you were checking on that did you happen to notice if the queue was a sizeable one? I have been trying to get the site listed for a long time (not realizing resubmitting the site overwrote existing submissions) and I am wondering if there is a huge backlog in the catagory.

thanks again

You'll tend to get longer answers when (1) the editing tools are down or (2) you raise a question that many other people have indicated some kind of confusion about, or (3) sigh, both.

Hope you don't have too many days like this.

The queue is quite small, so once an editor actively gets to that category your site should be reviewed at that point.

I had to answer when I saw where you are from I went to college in Bozeman, although I transferred back and then graduated from MSU-Billings. I love the Bozeman area

I really like the Bozeman area too...getting pretty expensive though. I lived in Billings for a while too..went to Skyview..but I would say that Bozeman is probably one of the best cities to live in.

Anyway...I had a quick question...I was digging through some log files this morning and I see :

editors.dmoz.org:8080/editors/editunrev2.cgi

show up as a referrer. I am at this point assuming the site has been reviewed by an editor. I am just wondering if there is a behind the scenes process that takes place since I'm not seeing it show up on DMOZ yet.

Thanks in advance

All that means is that an editor clicked on the link to your site from the list of unreviewed. It doesn't necessarily mean that the editor has revierwed the site. In fact, it's very likely that the link came as a result of your asking about the status of the submission on here.

That is the general answer. In this case, it appears that the site was approved for listing. Right now the publicly-viewable categories are disconnected from the editor side due to the server upgrades that are ongoing. When they get synchronized (in a few weeks) the listing should appear.

Hope this clarifies. :)

When i go into dmoz now and do a search for bozemanonline it says that my site has now been listed in "Regional: North America: United States: Montana: Localities: B: Bozeman" which is correct....but when i go into that catagory it doesn't show up there. Any reason why that may be? Thanks in advance.
