What we have here is a failure to communicate. Perhaps it stems in part from our differing definitions of the phrase "unique content". Mine doesn't cover content that can be found on dozens of other web pages.

But even if the content were unique, it doesn't change the fact that the primary purpose of the site is to drive sales traffic elsewhere.

I'm not able to envision any change you could make that would simultaneously meet both your needs and ours. I suggest that you pursue other avenues of promotion, since further efforts to obtain a dmoz listing are likely to be fruitless.

Thank you for your time to reply. The site is built with information for visitors interested in Beeswax extract. There are sources with links to valuable information that many not be so readily available to all that surf the net.

Of course, since this is the shopping cat there are links to buy the products.

However, I was merely following what the new editor of the cat submitted, when they became the editor of this cat about 2-3 months ago (follow by example). If you check the logs, you will see a very similar website that has copied my information almost word-for-word from my site - not to mention does not provide the variety of useful information and closely related links to various articles and subtopics.

If their web site was acceptable to be included in this cat soliciting the same product and using the same design etc... then why not mine?

I would be very interested in your feedback as to why one and not the other which has more content and info-resources.

If you believe another site should not be in the category according to our rules, we are interested to know. Either fill an Update URL request or head over to the "Abuse" forum and read how to report such sites.

In any case, the sole presence of a site similiar to yours is no reason for yours to be listed.

If two sites contain the same content, we can't judge which is the original. So if we list one - we list one of those by random. If you have a copyright issue, sue the other guy, but this is your and not our problem then. This would be a problem of you, him and your lawyers then.
