The listing for Ace Label Systems, Inc. is in category:
http://dmoz.org/Computers/Hardware/Storage/Optical/Accessories/

We have had the website listed with the domain name under:
http://www.cdlabels.bz/

This domain expired and with repeated attempts to address this I have been unable to change the domain listing for our site to our current permanent URL and domain of:
http://www.acelabel.com/

I've read the FAQ on updating a URL listing, but our previous domain no longer resolves. I do not know the method you have for eliminating bogus requests, but I'm at a loss for how to update our listing and have tried approximately every 3 months for the past year or so.

Do I need to request a new listing with our current domain? Or should I request a change under the defunct domain name? It would seem since the current listing is defunct and 'has been' for some time, that it would be removed from the listing by the editor in charge of this category.

Any suggestions on how to get our listing updated and corrected in this scenario is greatly appreciated.

Also, is there a status update I could have on these two listings (and the previous requests for update I've entered on these two URL listings)?

Thank you for your time.

Option 1: Use update on the defunct listing.

Option 2: Reply in this thread, noting your new URL. This would probably cause almost immediate removal of the listing from the directory, but would probably take as long or longer than option 1 in getting your new site listed.

Deleting listing and updating listing? at the same time!

Is that really the right way to do it? If the listing gets deleted, will the update record also get removed?

Since it takes 'months' to have an update, I don't want to wait another 3-6 months to find out that I need to resubmit the listing and wait another 3-6 to find out of that's what is needed to have the listing considered and re-added.

I know its a daunting task managing such a directory, but its really unbelievable how long the process should take when a listing needs an update (that's already in the directory).

Thanks for your time.

Probably not. It might confuse the reviewing editor to have an update of a listing not currently in the directory, but the listing (as you saw it, before the update) is also presented to any reviewing editor.

I want to clarify my answer. Option 1 is preferred. Option 2 is an alternative which would get the bad listing out of the directory faster, but it might take longer to get the new listing in place.

And -- if you're asking for the status of your update requests, please reply again. I cannot answer that question, and I'll wait for an editor who can to appear.
