Hello,
I was just wondering what the status is for my site www.cjfenterprises.com. I submitted to shopping/general_merchandise/c. Im sure the shopping category is huge so I was just looking for a rough idea of how long it might be. Thanks so much for any help! <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Your submission made it into the hopper.

There are a fair number of other sites also waiting for review. I wouldn't even venture a guess on how long it might be. An editor was working in that category within the past week, but there's no telling when someone will next visit, how many submissions he or she will process, and how the editor will choose which sites to handle first.

Please don't submit again, though. If you do, it will just overwrite your earlier submission. If the editor chooses to tackle the submissions that have been waiting the longest first, yours would be delayed.

You can check back here, in this thread, if your site is still not listed in a month.

No change, but at some point an editor is going to need to evaluate if you have enough original content...it appears to me that a huge portion is Specialty Merchandise Corporation, which we consider an MLM and do not list (as we get hundreds of submissions with SMC content weekly). I'm mentioning it because it looks to me like it could go either way. I see what appears to be some original content, but a lot that isn't.

Ok thanks. Its mainly a gift and gift basket site they are not all added yet. SMC is just one of my suppliers for products. I deal with 15 different suppliers and I design my own baskets. Will someone let me know either way?

We don't notify editors when a site is declined or listed, but you can check back here as you have been. That cat is pretty backed up as it gets a lot of spam submissions...I would give it a few more months before checking. Sorry to not have better news to offer. <img src="/images/icons/smirk.gif" alt="" />

As mentioned above I would wait a few months before checking back--the category is a huge spam magnet and unfortunately as a result valid submissions get buried which causes a backlog. It will likely be quite awhile before the situation changes. Sorry.

Thnaks for the reply! Thats too bad that people submit junk, it just makes it harder for the rest of us with legitimate intentions.

I agree, I spend a lot of time in that category--unfortunatly much is spent weeding affiliates and other sites that should never have been submitted in the first place. I do list new sites also (as do other editors)...hopefully yours will be reviewed soon. :)

The updates are routine, however the editor server is not in sync with the public server. We can not give you an ETA, but rest assured that the issue is being resolved.

You can save time and just check here, since that is all we, as editors, can do now.

Hi there ok just one more question! My site did get listed YEAH!!!! And when I look it up under gift baskets, category "C" it is there, however when I type in CJF Enterprises in the search box it is nowhere to be found and does not come up. Does it still need to go through another update or could there be a problem? Thanks again for your help!

All shall happen in time. That's another automatic bit of propagation that we have no control over, or foreknowledge of.
