I would like to know the status of my submission of http://www.combustion-web-hosting.com/

I've submitted it to http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Hosting/C/ on 08.29.02, and nothing has happened.

Any help/advice/info gratefully received.

There are currently around 250 sites awaiting review in that category - it could be a couple of months before your site is reviewed. Sorry!

Are you able to confirm if "http://www.combustion-web-hosting.com" is one of the sites awaiting review? I just want to ensure our submission did not get lost or incorreclty submitted.

There isn't really an ahead or a behind, as the unreviewed sites can be listed in either the date-submitted order or in alphabetical order. An editor may choose to work through the list in one of those orders, or may decide to delete the obvious spam submissions first, move mis-submissions to the correct categories, or list the "easy to work on" sites first, or whatever he feels like doing. Reviewing 250 sites is going to take someone a long time to do. Please don't resubmit, as this resets the last submitted date, and for an editor who does list submissions in date-submitted order a site resubmission is now at the back of the queue.

Sorry, yes - your site is one of the 250 awaiting review.

Like giz says, an editor can work through the category in anyway they like (and have it "ordered" anyway they like: although the "default ordering" is "oldest submission date first" - hence why we say that resubmitting your site MAY push it to the "back" of the queue).
