I was wondering if my site is going to be listed or if it has been rejected for some reason? I submitted it to
the category Business: Transportation and Logistics: Distribution and Logistics: Online Freight on April 22nd, 2003. If it was rejected, could you let me know why so I can correct the problem? Thanks. Again the site is

I can't get in to check at this moment as I am getting errors, but a clickable link to the category where you submitted as requested in the forum guidelines makes it about 5 times faster to check on. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />

I have been told my site www.dead-heading.com is waiting review and to just be patient, but I'm wondering if anyone could give me an idea of when it will be reviewed. Its been a very long time. Its currently awaiting review in the http://www.dmoz.org/Business/E-Commerce/Marketplaces/Freight_Exchanges/ category. Thank you.

I'm afraid this category isn't very actively edited and there is no way to give an estimation of time.

The best "idea" I can give is that it will be reviewed when an editor with privileges decides to edit that particular category.

Actually, the submission is dated 22 Apr 2003, which isn't a "very_long" time for a site to wait.

Please bookmark this thread and re-ask in a month or so. Hopefully it will be a more satisfying answer.

I am inquiring about the status of my listing again. I really don't know what more I can do. Can someone please help me? I have been patient, but this does seem like a long time to me, as I am counting on this listing to build traffic to my site which costs me money each and every day. I am sorry to say, but we do not process site listings after a request in the forum. If we would start to do it, this forum would be totally useless within days.

Your site is still waiting, and I am afraid there is nothing you can do about it. All editors are volunteers, people like you and me - so if noone is interested in editing that area, the submissions may wait some years.

There are hundreds of thousands of sites that are not listed in the ODP. Each of them might benefit from a listing (which is not our business, we look for sites we think a user would benefit from. Sites that we would look for ourself. I for example would never look for a site like yours, since I am not very interested in that business. So I would not edit there.). To you, your site is of importance, to us - sorry to say - its like any other site.
