http://www.designerantiques.net

Hello:

I found your site at WebmasterWorld.

I submitted the above URL to DMOZ in early October to the category:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Antiques_and_Collectibles/Furniture/Reproduction_Antiques/

The best I can tell by looking at referer logs is that the site has not yet been reviewed. Since I submitted the site, we have acquired a new domain -- designerantiques.com. I have set up the server to redirect requests to the .net domain to the .com domain with a 301 Moved Permanently header.

I understand that redirects are frowned upon in the Open Directory, and don't want my submission to be rejected.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I should proceed?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

The local editors would most probably have noticed the redirect and changed the URL to .com, but to avoid any misunderstandings I just updated the URL, so you don't need to do anything but wait until someone reviews your site.

Thanks for your help. And, I gather from your post that the site is still in line for review, which answers the question that I didn't really ask...

I think you submitted to the wrong category, which will only delay a listing for you. From the Guidelines for the shopping cats: Sites which are mainly advertising for a local store and that do not offer online shopping should be submitted to the appropriate Regional/ category.

You might want to submit your site to the proper regional cat and request the other be removed to save everyone some time.
