Right. Sorry about that. I forgot to mention that I'd just resubmitted the site again. Is there a standard time-frame for waiting before posting in this forum? (Probably three weeks, right? Oops.)

And actually its not this forum but the "Submission State" forum which is the one below this on the main page. There you will find some more information in the sticky posts at the top

Update for designhaus-i-d.com

Hello,

I'd like to check on an update for:
http://www.designhaus-i-d.com/

We have grown from a sole proprietorship to an LLC (hence name and domain change) and are gaining industry recognition. Our old web site now has a redirection page to our updated web site:
http://www.industrialdesignhaus.com/

We would like to move from our existing category:
http://dmoz.org/Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Engineering/Consulting/Design/

to:
http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Design/Industrial_Designers/

This is because we feel this is a better classification of who we are as an industrial design firm, since we better fit the profile of industrial designers than that of engineers.

Any help regarding the update status would be greatly appreciated.

Submit an update URL request from the category page. An editor will review it along with the other unreviewed submissions whenever one gets to it.

You can check on the status of that update request every 30 days if you like but please resuse this thread if you do.

Actually, I submitted the request as you said, but it wasn't 30 days ago, but only about a week.

I'd like to check again on the status of our site update.

I noticed our original site's directory location has changed (eliminated original directory classification?) to:

http://dmoz.org/Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Engineering/Consulting/Design/

Not sure if that's any help--seems to have happened somewhat recently.

We are still aiming for the updated placement to be among industrial designers, since that's what we do:

http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Design/Industrial_Designers/

Any news on the status of this update would be appreciated.

There is no update request for designhaus-i-d.com waiting in Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Engineering/Consulting/Design/, and there is no sign of one being deleted. Did you submit to Business/Business_Services/Design/Industrial_Designers instead of making an update request? If so (and even if you didn't), do make an update request like thehelper advised in the category where you are currently listed. Use the "Update URL" link in the upper right corner of the page. If you submit to the new category instead it is likely to be deleted as a duplicate.

Yes, I did make an update request instead of submitting a new site (didn't want the directory to become cluttered with an out-dated site like that).

We switched to another host and domain name, so we wanted to coordinate the deletion of the first site with the addition of the second site, only with a switch of categories at the same time, if possible. (See first post here.)

So, given where we are now, and the possibility of the original category of designhaus-i-d.com being altered since I requested the update, what do you recommend? Shall we resubmit the update or hope this works out or?

Thank you for your reply. Perhaps the error lies in my original request for an update plus a category modification for the site listing.

Resubmit the update - there must have been some kind of glitch the first time.
