I submitted www.dogtraininguk.com for a friend about a month ago. I submitted it at:

http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Recreation_and_Sports/Pets/Dogs/Training/

I was hoping to find out where it was up to?

I can't see any from a month ago but there is one awaiting from 2 weeks ago.

Couldn't quite remember when it was submitted but was sure it was more than a month. I suppose these things just seem a lot longer than they actually are!

Certainly - any time after 7th August. After the first enquiry, subsequent ones must wait for six months.

So i have to wait until 7th August to get an update Then I have to wait six months

Jim is being very generous. Since you now know that we have received your submission and that it's waiting in the queue, most of us would probably have told you that you have to wait until January for your next status check.

Status checks don't speed up review of your site. There's really no need for us to keep checking to see if it's still in the queue and it takes time that we might spend actually reviewing sites. We do agree to do repeat checks after 6 months if asked, just to verify that the submission wasn't rejected or accidentally deleted.

If your site is listed it will appear on the public side within days of the listing, and you'll be able to see it for yourself.

OK thanks for the help, just wanted to get an idea of when it might get in there! I shall be patient!

Your site is still awaiting a review in that category. On a side note, at a quick glance, your site seems that it may also be relevant in the category representing your geographical location as it may have local relevance.

Therefore I would suggest that you also submit the site to http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Lancashire/Croston/

The additional submission will not make any difference to the former submission and vice versa.

Thanks for the advice - have submitted to that category. Just have to wait and hope now I suppose!!
