I have tried for about a year to get our site posted and have been unsuccessful, can you help me?

Please review our site, we are not an affiliate site at all. Most of our suppliers are the actual manufactures, we offer 10,000 products. For a list of some of the manufatures we use I will be happy to email the details to the dmoz editor. You are welcome to verify with them. We are a Department Store, not an affilation, we are paid no, affiliate fees from any companies what so ever!!! We are a professional Company with a professional webstore! Please review your decission, I beg of you!

The ODP lists sites with unique product content, the majority of your content is in no way unique. Take for instance the SMC products, they can be found on literally thousands of other websites. I also see products sold on other sites that generate template stores. While I realize you may use the same manufacturer/supplier as they do and even if your products come from a different source it does not make those products more unique. No matter where you are getting them, the product content is the same as on hundreds, if not thousands, of other sites. Your site can not be listed, sorry.

Still confused, you have many department stores listed, they sell the same stuff, nothing unique among them. We have 10,000+ quality products. As far as unique, yes we do offer them, For example: Brain Campbell's Custom Log Furniture, his products are exclusive to DollarAmerica Co., If it will help we will begin adding his products asap. I even give the editor his phone # and he can contact him! We have nothing to hide and we are professionals! We purchase log bedroom suites, indoor and outdoor customer made log furniture! Also CathyWilliams of NY she is a designer of american made womens clothing! Some of her items are currently listed on our webstore. Alpaca Rugs, the sofest
rugs in the world we have them and many are up on the site under home & garden then under Home Decor! Then Rugs! Towel Buddies we get stright from the manufacture as well and they are unique! I am not completely clear as
to why we aren't being approved for listing. They are many sites in your directory and they are not all unique! Please tell us what it is and why it is Dmoz won't accept us! If you list xxx or porn sites they are NOT unique! Please tell if we have done something wrong that will prevent us from being in the directory forever! I have worked hard and I myself have done alot of the bulding and design of
the webstore! We are not involved with any kind of templete store! I can show you receipts for the shopping cart program we purchased, I can show you receipts that prove we buy from the manufactures, You have many sites that
list ATV's we offer ATV's and Fun Karts, we offer so much and for so many to get on your site that does offer some of the things we offer and for us not to just doesn't seem fair and equal. What can we do? What are the exact steps we need to take to get listed. PLease, Please Please!!!

Please understand, we are a sole distributor, a retailer, a retail distributor, a department store! We even offer a full line of sporting goods and equipment for many sports including lacrosse. We are not a templete store or an affiliate in any way shape fashion or form! We are family & owned and opearted!

Nobody is going to try to call anybody about this. Your site may be great, comprehensive, inexpensive and beautiful, but we've already pointed out what seems to be keeping your site from being listed in our directory. Looking at your site, I feel like someone who has to read through a whole dictionary to find the "unique, found only in our dictionary" words. Where's the stuff that isn't found all over the internet?

I spend a significant amount of time editing in the areas where sites like yours are submitted. Because of this, I am extremely familiar with affiliate content, MLM content (such as SMC), standard dropshipping content, etc. I personally recognize what amounts to a large amount of non-unique content and believe this assessment to be fair. As mentioned by kctipton, you've been told why your site cannot be listed. Nothing said here in response will change that decision if the content remains as it is. As a result, there is no purpose in further arguing the point.

You had asked where are some of the unique items, a few of them are listed on the home page itself. Other wise the store is setup by departments, just like a department store. For example: Furniture would be under the main category Home & Garden. We are adding new products daily and so once more have been add I truly beleive you folks will change your mind and see we offer so much more than smc. Meanwhile thanks for the tip about the incorrect spelling, I'll have the webmaster reveiw all pages. Please understand we have worked hard to grow our business and will continue to grow our webstore, we look forward to your reveiw again, once we feel we have added more of the items you want to see in order to for us to get listed.

I am sorry you feel we are being argumentative, this is not at all our intent. I do beleive you are seeing our site from the wrong point of view, apparently you folks have run into some bad apples out there, and those bad apples are now making it impossible for you folks to see the depth of our webstore and our company. We will begin adding the type of products you folks are looking for and look forward to your review once we have completed adding the items we feel you are looking for in our site. I truly beleive by the time we have completed adding the products you folks will be proud to list us in your directory. Because we are a fair, honest and professional company with alot to offer. Can you please tell me how we can appeal the decision? What is the process and what link do I go to? Thanks for your time!

There is no "appeal" process, you can resubmit later on and someone can re-evaluate the site. With so many products of a non-unique nature it will be unlikely that your site will be accepted as that is what stands out. It is unrealistic to expect someone to sit and compare 10,000 individual products to known affiliate sites in hopes of finding few items here and there that are unique when what I see by the large part is items I can identify from so many other sites. Even if some content current content is unique, a huge portion still is not as it stands now and therefore the overall decision is likely to be to deny the site. Should the content change and the large portion of non-unique content be gone that would then be a good time to resubmit. As it stands right now, resubmitting won't matter because the site has just way too much non-unique content. Should that change in the future, then resubmit.

Hello! I would like to kindly request that you folks please revisit our website we have made many changes based on your suggestions (thank you for the suggestions the site is even better than ever and still gets better everyday) I want to confirm we are moving in the right direction in order to qualify to be listed in Dmoz. I also would like to know if I will need to resub our url or if you have a submit request already. Thanks so much for your time, help and input!

We don't do reviews of sites posted in these fora. Just re-submit the site to the appropriate category and an editor will look at it. Make sure you put something like "*site recently updated*" in your submitted description so that the editor can see that you have made changes.

I pulled your site back up, within 30 seconds I recognized affiliate/MLM/dropshipping content from three different sources. Your site is just not original and cannot be listed--there is no point in resubmitting or continueing to attempt to argue the point in this forum. A few orginal products in and among all the others isn't going to make a different, sorry.
