http://www.embeddedstar.com/

A little over a month ago, I submitted my new site for this category=> Computers: Hardware: Embedded: Technical Information

I noticed last week that there was no editor for that category so I applied to be the editor and have only received an automated response so far. I did mention that I was affiliated with another site.

Can you please tell me the status of my new site and my application?

Thanks,

Ken

Thanks "Total Excessive" (Neil) for the status update. I appreciate it. Perhaps you or one of the other editor can provide me with feedback on what I need to do to get listed. There's almost 800 pages of content on Embedded Star so I am not sure why it was rejected for lack of content. I update the site almost every day. My site is similar to another site (EG3) that is listed in the category I applied for. The biggest differece is that you can see the new updates on my home page and on the news page (I also plan to add a what's new in the technical papers, demo's, and company directory in the near future). On EG3, you can't easily tell what's been updated. Except for the ads, everything looks the same. In addition, I hate those annoying pop-ups and I want to give people in the embedded community a non pop-up alternative. Plus my searchable database isn't biased towards advertisers.

Can you please give me any suggestions on what I can do to get listed?

Thanks, Ken

Perhaps http://www.embeddedstar.com/papers/ would have been a better submission choice, but also I would want your alphabar to give some idea of how many articles are under which letter. I still don't know if the site would be listed, but am I right that this section is what fits in the category?

Thanks for the feedback. I will add the papers count in the next rev of the site. I am actually in the process of changing the browsing by letter to browsing by category (based on visitors feedback). I will resubmit with the URL you suggested and hope I have better luck next time. I didn't even know you could submit just a section of the web site.

Thanks again, Ken
