I submitted this site (http://www.engagement-rings.cc) about a year ago into Shopping: Jewelry: Wedding (if I remember correctly) and it hasn't been listed.

I already gave up but now when I found this forum maybe there is a hope still...

Correct but www.whiteflash.com also never been included despite it was submitted even earlier... Can at least one of them be included?

I'm not in any position to argue just to clarify that the very first site was submitted and not included before other were created and submitted. I hope I didn’t make any spam since I only submitted each site once or two during the year.

The last action taken for your site http://www.whiteflash.com/ was the deletion of a submission from the unreviewed of Shopping/Jewelry/Diamonds in March 2002. This was done by an editor who now doesn't belong to the ODP any more. As he didn't give a reason for the deletion, we probably won't know why he did it.

If you resubmit this site, take your time to write a good description of what's on your website. It would be a good idea to read the guidelines before doing that. It may, however, take some time before your submission will be reviewed, because this part of the directory has quite a lot of sites waiting for review and not so many editors to handle them.
