Hello,

This site is awaiting review in the category you mentionned.

Thanks.

It's still there, and we have no idea of how long it may take to get listed in this, or any, category. We're all volunteers. (Well, there are one or two paid staff members, but you've probably never met them.)

Thanks Arubin

Thanks for your help Arubin. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that someone will take a look at the listing soon. Is it worth enquiring regularly as to the status of the listing or should I just forget about it and be pleasantly supprised one day?

Kind regards

Jose

The listings will be processed at the same speed whether you ask for updates here or not - and since the only thing we can say is whether it is still waiting for review, has been denied a listing or has been listed (which you would be able to see for yourself) I'd personally not bother. That's just my opinion, though :)

Our forum rules dictate that you wait 6 months between status enquiries. We'll be able to answer your question in Mid November.

As far as I can tell, it's still there. No one has moved or deleted it in the past 6 months.

We never move a submission from one category to another, just because a category doesn't seem to have enough editors.

If that's the case, we try and recruit editors, rather than list things where they don't belong! However, sites taking more than 6 months is not unusual.

Note our official reply to the question of no editors in our FAQ - http://resource-zone.com/forum/faq.php?faq=odp#faq_no_editor

There are other questions and answers there that I think you will find interesting as well.

Hi Sole,

Thanks for your reply and for the link that you sent. I'm not sure which category is actually better for our site. When an editor does review our submission I guess they will make that decision.

In the meantime I'll have a look into becoming an editor elsewhere in the Open Directory, maybe I can do my bit for someone else's site waiting in the wings or improving an underdeveloped category.

Cheers

Jose
