http://www.frontpage2002.com

Hi

I have submitted my website to dmoz.org before, now I have submitted again as I have redone the website.

category:
Computers: Software: Internet: Authoring: HTML: WYSIWYG Editors: Microsoft FrontPage

I am trying to add more content when I have time from my real job.

The category says that it has no editor could that be the
reason why I have not been listed or is there something wrong with my website. I still have to add a decent forum for fp 2002 users, any suggestions would be welcome.

Regards,
Sami

It's still sitting there in unreviewed along with around 30 other sites.

Ok thanks for the info!! I guess its just question of
having patience then.

Regards,
Sami

Dont want to be a "pain in the a**" but any idea how long it might take with those 30 sites waiting since the category has no editor. I guess trying to submit to another category is not a good idea either as this category is exactly what the website is about?.

Thanks!!

Sami

Well, at the moment it's impossible because the ODP login system is down. But hopefully it'll get done soon.

You could always apply to be an editor...

Hi totalxsive...I did send in the form once maybe like 8-10 months ago to be an editor but never heard back anything not even a no thank you so I have let that be...

Thanks for the suggestion anyway...

Editor login is now back on line... It hasn't been reviewed or deleted. I don't edit there so cannot be of any help. An editor in that area may be along with more, once they realise we can all log back in now.

Although not a requirement to be listed you might care to run your site through a HTML validator to make sure that your site has well-formed valid HTML code. There are a few errors at the present time: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.frontpage2002.com&charset=iso-8859-1+%28Western+Europe%29&doctype=HTML+4.01+Transitional I hope that isn't the standard of code produced by FP as standard! The illegal character at Line 14, column 43 (should be a quote " ) especially messes things up.

samasa - did you receive *any* email back? You should have got an automatic response to double check your email account is working (which you must reply to) - only then can your application be reviewed.

If you are interested, there is plenty of advice in this forum, and it would help to make yourself "au fait" with the Guidelines at http://dmoz.org/guidelines/

totalxsive no I did not receive even that or maybe it got deleted by error and thats why I never knew more...will have a look to it and reconsider ...thanks

Sami

Hi

Back again to ask active editors there opinion if I should
try another category or contact an editor in different category that is close to the one I submitted to..or are these things no-nos that will get people/editors mad and get me on a "black list" ?.

Sami

Submit to the ONE category you feel most appropriate for your category. Then be patient. Just because a category doesn't have a listed editor doesn't mean there is no editor.

I don't even remember the last time I even edited in a category I was specifically listed for, vs. a subcat of one...
