This is a severely backlogged category with hundreds of sites waiting for review. One them is http://www.futurethought.tv/, submitted on October 3rd; another one is http://www.futurethought.net/, submitted on January 26th.

Thanks for the reply.. Was wondering how much down the list www.futurethought.net is? Approx imately how long before listing? Currently only 3 sites have been added in the last 2 months?
There is no "up" or "down."
Editors are supposed to add good websites to the directory. They can find those sites at Google, or on printed advertisement, or in other directories or link lists on other websites, or ... even in the "visitor-suggested sites" holding area.
We do not tell editors when to work, or how much, or on which categories, or how to search for sites...and if we did, our volunteers would, um, desert without asking permission.
So we don't know how long it will be before some editor looks for sites in that category, or whether they'll even glance at the suggested sites, or which order they'd glance at them if they did.

Thanks for the reply.. Just wondering if the site www.futurethought.net submitted on January 26th (10 months ago) was ignored because it was not a 'good site'?

It's not been ignored - it's just that nobody has reviewed it yet. If an editor had looked at it and thought it not worthy of being listed, it would have been rejected. But it hasn't, which means that there have been no judgments, positive or negative, passed about it. (One reason it's not been looked at yet is what motsa said: hundreds of other sites waiting to be reviewed. They haven't been ignored either.)

70 people work in our studio so I dont know why it should be in computerortfolios..
Also, we do conventional 2d cel animation as well so we're not restricted to computer animation..

If you think that your site belongs in a different category you have to go to the category where the site is listed and click at the top right corner of the page the update url button. You can then submit an update request which is handled the same way as a normal submission. Keep in mind, the update url is just a suggestion, if the editor feels it fits where it is it will not be moved but doing the update url will get it looked at eventually.
