Certainly, I can. But first, thank you very much for obviously reading the guidelines, waiting a month before asking, providing a clickable link to the category where you submitted and making the thread title the URL of the site.

It saves us all a ton of work.

The site does indeed await review in that category, along with less than 10 other sites.

Thanks for such a prompt reply. With such a small number of sites waiting hopefully the wait won't be too long.
If, as in this case the site would also fit as well in another category, i.e. one specifically about Fuerteventura, http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Spain/Autonomous_Communities/Canary_Islands/Fuerteventura/Travel_and_Tourism/
as opposed to the one submitted to about golf travel in Spain which was (http://www.dmoz.org/Sports/Golf/Travel/Europe/Spain/)is it acceptable to also submit there or is this a major transgression of the rules that should be avoided at all costs?

Kind regards,

Kari

My guess is that the reviewing editor will move it to a Fuerteventura-specific category on review, althought I can't be sure.

I wouldn't submit anything new now, but wait and see what happens to the one listing.

Thanks :)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply but it wasn't really what I was trying to find out. I'd like to know is it possible to submit to 2 categories or is this a total no-no?

With regards to getting it moved to the Canary Islands/Fuerteventura category instead of being where it is now I'm not sure that would help as there do seem to be some oddities as to what is included in there. If you look at http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Spain/Autonomous_Communities/Canary_Islands/Fuerteventura/Travel_and_Tourism/ there are only 4 sites, yet the first 2 are the same content just with a .net or .com end to their name, so I'm not sure this is a good first port of call to try rather I wanted it as an extra.
Hope you can advise whether or not what I'm asking is possible and also how one reports the oddity described above.

Kind regards,
Kari

That duplicate has been fixed - thanks very much for bringing it to our attention (it might not be appearing on the publicly-available site right now, but it has been fixed internally).

We ask users to pick the ONE category that best fits a URL. Editors will review, and may move the site to a different category. My best advice for you would be to wait until someone has reviewed the site.

Thanks :)

Hi,

Thanks for fixing the duplicate, much appreciated. I guess I'll just have to sit tight and wait as you recommend for the site to be reviewed.

Thanks again for your help.

Last update of that category has been in july - as noted below the category page - and that pretty much reflects the truth, sorry to say.

I had considered submitting to a Fuerteventura category but couldn't get a straight answer here as to whether that was acceptable or not. Now from what you are saying I'll go ahead and submit to one as you seem to be saying that it is OK.

Thanks for your help it is much appreciated.

Yes, submittal to both categories is acceptable. Without reviewing the site, we can't guarantee it it will be listed in either. And most editors can't guarantee whether it would even be considered for both.

But it is NOT unreasonable to ASK that it be considered for both.
