http://www.jerseychurch.org.uk. Feburary submission. Status?

Please let me know the status of http://www.jerseychurch.org.uk submitted approximately 16-19 of February 2005, to
http://dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Churches/
I did not receive a confirmation giving details of my submission so I am not sure of the exact category given for this church site or its date of submission. The church is physically located in the Channel Islands out side of the UK. Which left me unsure how to define its region as the Channel Islands are not listed as a sub-category. Obviously over 5 weeks have now passed since I submitted this URL and I can not remember all of the details with accuracy.

You can suggest it to http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Jersey/Society_and_Culture/ for a second possible listing. It won't make any difference to the Society category consideration. I can't find it anywhere in http://dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Churches/ either so you can suggest it again - http://dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Churches/Europe/Jersey/ would be best.

Ok, so I will re-submit it. However, I am concerned that you cannot find my original submission, it would be helpful if the ODP sent out email acknowledgments of submissions, then we will have something to refer to when we need to follow up on a submission, this also gives of us users the confidence that a submission is being processed.
Or should I have received some sort of submission confirmation by default?

So will I have to wait Another month before I can query the status of this submission?

Best solution is to print off the page when you suggest the site, no emails are issued by the system at any point. You should get an on-screen confirmation if the site has successfully been suggested. Bookmark the category page in your browser too - it makes it easier to provide the clickable link we require. Since it is a volunteer project run on a shoestring there are a gazillion other technical improvements that take priority! In this case it seems the suggestion did not reach the category (or any of its sub-categories) at all - it happens sometimes.

Yes, it takes a month from suggestion before we are able to provide reliable information about its receipt.

Thanks for the information.
When I submitted the main Church website www.jerseychurch.org.uk I also submitted a second Christian website URL. It represents another organisation in India called "Eternal Word Ministries"
The first URL (Domain www.jerseychurch.org.uk) also hosts this sub website at the URL: www.jerseychurch.org.uk/ewm/ which also seems not to be listed in the directory. I THINK it was submitted to the sub category of http://dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Organizations/Regional/
On the same date as my first submission.

Please advise if you can find evidence of its submission?

When I looked initially for you I did a search on all the sub-categories too as they weren't too large. Anything with jerseychurch in the URL would have shown up. As it didn't you can assume that one didn't arrive either.

As before, if you can find the Chennai category in the Regional branch it would be a good idea to suggest the site there as well. In the Society and Culture sub-category if there is one.
