I submitted this site to the following Category: Top: Shopping: Vehicles: Parts and Accessories: Engine after having no joy with the category: Top: Shopping: Vehicles: Parts and Accessories: Engine: Fuel. Can anyone advise whether the site is likely to be included and if so in what timescale?
Maybe I am doing something wrong with this one as normally I find the Open Directory the easiest directory to submit to and get listed on.

Thanks.

Kari.

Can you please post a link to the category you submitted as it really helps when doing these category checks. Thanks.

Hint:
Engine/Fuel: less than 25 unreviewed sites.
Engine: over 150 unreviewed sites.

I've removed your duplicate submission (and a few others) from the parent category. This will not (much) prejudice your original submission.

Thanks for that. Are you saying that the site hasn't been reviewed despite the fact it was first submitted to one of the categories in 2001? If so, what can I do to get it reviewed if it is frowned upon to try submitting to other categories? This is the first site I've had any difficulty with as normally the Open Directory is the easiest of directories to deal with so any clues and advice appreciated.

If your business has a physical location you can submit your site to the appropriate Regional category and it might get reviewed faster. There is really nothing you can do about sites waiting for review - it takes as long as it takes.

Thanks for the advice. I have now submitted the site to a regional category and hopefully as it is only a small area and small category I should fare better. Thanks again for taking the time to help.

Kari.

I would just like to say a big thank you for the advice given - the site has now been listed, less than a week after I took the advice given here and submitted it to a local village category. Once again, thanks.

Kind Regards,

Kari
