Hello, I am terribly sorry for not posting directory here. In fact I never thought I need to remember the one. I submitted my site to DMOZ long time ago and was adviced to ask here about its status instead of re-submitting.

Please advise.

It appears you submitted to Society/Relationships/Dating and Society/Relationships/Dating/Personals/International/L. Your site was denied in both places as not having enough content.

Thanks a lot. I see and undesratnad the reason. Well, we have been working hard since then and did quite a big job. We have a lot of articles, weblog, about 1000 personals profiles, dating directory and real (spider pased) dating search engine. We are also participating in anti-scam programs to ensure good service. We also offer dating software and partnership solutions. Thus I consider our site offering a wide range of Dating related stuff and I think that it might be a good idea to re-submit it to http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Relationships/Dating/

I see that there are 4 deeper categories:
Advice, Chats and Forums, Directories, Personals

But we have advice, directory, search engine and pesonals, so I think that we may be listed in the higher directory.

Correct me if I am wrong. I will now try to resubmit if don't mind with my best hopes and prays.

OK,I tried three or four times and every time I submit a form it slows down and never passes. I am not sure if it is due to my internet connection or maybe high dmoz servers load. Let me know if I should try again or maybe the form passed successfully? I did use page title as it appears on our frontpage and gave a promt description.

Thank you for consideration. Unfortunately I try and try again and again and all I have is the following:

Let me know if it is due to my insternet connection and I will try to find other ways. Strange to see this - all other forms load pretty fine, and I tried IE6/WinfXP and Konqueror/LinHR7,3

DMOZ servers have a limitation regarding simulataneous accesses to prevent the server from overloading. maybe you could try another time of day, when its not so busy...

I tried about 15 times today and finally <img src="/images/icons/laugh.gif" alt="" /> !!! it worked out. form passed. BUT it said that it couldn't determine IP and will have to verify if it is spam or not. The reason is obviously is that the submission paged was cached by either browser or ISP (as I opened it about 15 times). So, if anyone here can influence it, just be sure that it is not spam. Once the form passed I stoped submitting. I truly hope that this checking won't take too long. We did quite a lot of job and have over 500 partners now so I really hope to get this link.

Not to worry. I've got three windows open right now, checking that stuff. It will be a little delay; on the other hand, there's a guarantee that there will be a sanity check on the submittal. So if your description really describes what's on the website, it won't wait for some indeterminate time in an obviously wrong category.

Thanks a lot. Yes I put short describtion telling about the main aspects of our site. Didn't even mention some smaller things. Hope it will work out.
What I am concerned about and would love to have a bit of feedback about is whether our "Alternative" category in links directory may be a problem. It has "Adult Dating" subcategory with links to adult dating sites. They are not porno sites, just erotic singles dating. However I am concerned if it is going to be a problem? If yes, I will remove all Adult related sub categories. Just let me know please. We are trying to keep it clean from porno sites or sites with nude pics. Just dating.

Not a problem.

We move sites into the Adult part of the directory if they contain pornography, not just because they link to it. The exception is if the link itself is a graphic image, in which case the site is classified as 'containing' that advert, and thus containing pornography.

Your Alternative section just contains simple text links, and doesn't use any prurient language, so there would be no problem with it at all.

It is not about site submission, but still about my site, so I didn't want to start a new thread. I have a small request.
Our site ( http://www.lovecompass.com )was lucky to be accepted to Society/Relationships/Dating/Personals/International/L/ , which is great. But for some reason the URL was added without WWW (although I submitted it with the WWW). It may not seem a big deal for you, I understand, but if anybody there would be so kind just change the URL from http://lovecompass.com to http://www.lovecompass.com , it would be very good for us. It is because we promote our site with WWW everywhere (flyers, papers, ads, links) and all other sites in this category have WWW. Could you please add it?

p.s. Unfortunately there is no editor there anymore and adding WWW doesn't fit EDIT URL guidelines.
