Your submission of April 24th is waiting for review, and there are hundreds of other sites in that category that have waited longer. :(

But have you seen the "Consumer Reviews" link in that category? It leads to Home: Consumer Information: Computers and Internet: Hardware: PDAs. Please check whether this would be a more appropriate category for your site. It isn't backlogged at all, by the way.

Would being listed there preclude me from being listed in the initial caat I applied for?

That's a sad note about the severe backlog considering I'm an industry expert and have applied twice. I could hammer through that list in a week or two...oh well.

Yes, that's very likely. Usually there's only one most appropriate category, and that's where a site should be submitted. Everything else may considerably delay a listing.

I don't know if you applied for http://dmoz.com/Computers/Systems/Handhelds/ , but it's too large for a new editor. Please have a look at this thread for further information.

Ok then, will you go ahead and move the site to the category you suggested?

Actually I had addplied to a sub-cat and suggested three new sites. I'm a PDA cat editor at Zeal and a few other smaller direstories as well.
