was submitted quite some time ago. I believe that it was originally submitted late last year. I understand that there are a lot of submissions to go through, but I have not heard anything about my listing.

Question, after finding out what the status of my submission was (waiting after about 300 others) I was looking through the directory and noticed that there was another category that may be more along the lines of what we do, so I submitted it there.

Then I remembered that it is not acceptable to submit to multiple categories. What should I do?

You don't have to do anything. If one is accepted the reviewing editor will delete the other submission. You won't be branded a spammer for submitting twice.
