Should I have expected to recieve an email notification of a submission or a rejection notice and or explanation? I have seen nothing.I submitted my site http://www.speedometersolutions.com I believe around May 2003.Recently tried again Oct.or beginning of Nov.and heard nothing .Not even a conformation of submission.The catagory I chose http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Vehicles/Parts_and_Accessories/Interior/Gauges/

The ODP as of right now does NOT give any type of notifications to submitters. Every now and then an editor might contact a submitter about his or her site, but on most cases, submitters are not usually contacted. I also advise you to be patient. By submitting your site over again, it only pushes you further down in the review list. Editors here usually review sites that have been on the list the longest. You should submit once, and then come here once a month to check on the status. Your site is probably more than likely still waiting to be reviewed.

I submitted the second time(per advise of this forum)after 6+ months at least with no response.Also re wrote title and discription per dmoz guidelines and tried to narrow down the catagory best this time. Not sure about the fist submision if it was the same catagory or done correct thats why.I also nicely emailed the catagory editor (per this forums sugestion)with no response a few weeks ago? If I'm waiting on a list to be reviewed I can understand that.My question I guess is how do I know that I am on a list or If I've done something wrong or been rejected?

You may also submit your site to the appropriate Regional category, probably Regional: North America: United States: Wisconsin: Localities: M: Milwaukee: Business and Economy: Automotive.

Ok that is understandable about resubmitting after 6 months. I see that one of your submissions was deleted since it was a duplicate. So from what i know, your site is still on the list and waiting to be reviewed. If after one month passes and your still not sure if your listed. You can check back here and request another status check in this forum thread and we will either tell you if your site is still waiting to be reviewed, or if your site has been rejected.

Does this mean that my first submission in august 11 was deleted ? I ask because I feel thet I've did a better job the second time and picked a more sutable catagory.

In order for us to check submissions you need to provide a clickable link to the dmoz.org category you submitted to. If you give us the link to the original submission category and the other category we can look but if you leave out the information we can't help you.

It was deleted from the other category you mentioned.
