Hi there. I submitted my site (Sports Venue Technology) into the construction and maintenance-building types-sports
category on the 18th June but received no response at the time.

I subsequently resubmitted and emailed one of the category editors (slightly higher up) on the 16th July but haven't heard anything back.

I don't want to be accused of pestering, but would it be possible to find out if anything is happening with my submission (whether it is rejected or not)? I know you are currently rebuilding this part of the directory but I would like to know if I am on the right track...

I've reviewed them all but was undecided where to place your site.

Your site is not about a specific business or contractor, it is a directory of sorts - providing information on many ongoing projects, and providing information about many companies. I would place it in http://dmoz.org/Business/Construction_and_Maintenance/Directories but I don't know enough about the Business branch to judge for certain. So I've left it in unreviewed for another editor who is more experienced in the Business branch.

Ok not a problem. Am grateful someone has managed to take a look at it, and it isn't stuck in limbo!
