Given the wording that you used in the posting, I suspect that you may believe that the ODP is a listing service, and that you can dictate the content of a title or description.
It is a common misunderstanding.
The ODP is not a cooperative venture between webmasters/owners and the editors. Instead, it might be helpful to think of us as a very large group of international hobbyists who compile lists of websites for our personal enjoyment. As part of our hobby, we accept suggestions from those who are not hobbyists, but are under no obligation to use those suggestions, just as a model railroader is under no obligation to put a nice tree righ "over there" becuase someone not involved in the construction thinks it would look "nice."
Broadly speaking, editors have fairly broad latitude in how they choose the title and descripion of a website, they are bound only by the editing guidelines. In the case of real estate sites, due to some significantly inappropriate behavior by your peers, editors have much less latitude. The rules by which we evaluate and list RE sites are all but set in concrete.
I'm not saying that you cannot request a change in the title and/or description that is in place for your site; I am strong suggesting that such a request will likely be viewed as "yet another vanity request" until and unless you can meet two burdens of proof: that the current title/description is factually incorrect and contravenes the current RE editing guidelines.
It is a steep hill to climb. How steep, you might ask?
Within the parts of Regional where I edit, it is safe to say that more than 90% of all update requests come from real estate agents/brokers. It is also safe to say that more than 95% of those requests get declined.
Since I am one of those editors still foolish enough to ignore advice to the contrary, I still engage in limited e-mail discussions with submitters. The vast majority of my e-mail interactions with members of the RE industry end up in a highly unsatisfactory manner.
