Could someone be kind enough to update me about the status.

It is sitting in unreviewed, alomg with over 300 other sites. However, the closest parent category with an editor is one category up, and that editors has some other categories with lots of unrevieweds.

So, it's going to take a while.

Can I ask you one question; am I listed in the correct category.

Business: Resources: Directories is a very general category. As your site has a clear focus - it is directory of diamond wholesalers - I think Business: Consumer Goods and Services: Jewelry: Diamond: Loose Stones: Wholesale and Distribution might be a more appropriate category.
