Some time ago, the site was rejected for being not working in major parts several times in a row. If it is now, feel free to resubmit.

On the 25-Jun-03 I resubmitted this site to dmoz, and received the following message:

Sorry, we could not determine your IP address for this submission. This may be because your browser or ISP has cached the previous page.
There is no need to resubmit; your site is in a holding area. Once we've verified that it is not spam, we'll add it to the unreviewed sites in the category you've requested.

Is it possible to find out if it is out of the holding area, and is it queued to be considered?

Thanks.

It hasn't been moved from where it was placed due to being snagged by the filter. Editing time was delayed recently due to a server upgrade, it will be moved as soon as possible--but has not been done at this time.

Ah.. just wondering if this site is far away from being considered?

Thank you.

It was moved away from the holding area to an area where it is sorted out to where it was originally submitted to before getting tagged by the filter. The good news is that is where I was working before ever reading this post :) . I have a tendency to check in here and edit in another window at the same time...so hopefully it will be moved soon.

Your submission was rejected on September 17th. The editor found links that didn't work. You may resubmit when this is sorted out.

Yours,
Robert

PS: I have just had a look at the site using Netscape 4.75 and it looks awful. Maybe the editor had a similar browser specific problem?

I've gone and downloaded 4.75 and had a look, and yes, it looks awful. I'll be looking into sorting this out as best I can - however, it is quite a small minority using netscape 4.x browsers. I didn't realise that it was a necessity for a site to look nice in older browsers....

However, I could not find a broken link anywhere. As this site has been rejected previously, is there any chance of having a specific error pointed out? I cannot replicate it.

I haven't looked at you site, so I don't know if there are broken links, or if any would prevent you being listed.

But a great tool for checking links across a whole site is:

I have invited the rejecting editor to join this discussion. I don't know whether he has used this board before, but maybe we are lucky and he'll give you some advice.

Yours,
Robert

I was not involved with your site, but just out of curiosity, I went there tonight and clicked on most of the links (Using Opera 7.11) and did not find any that were broken.

I have received an e-mail from the editor who rejected your submission earlier. He said your site still didn't work with one browser, but he now tried another browser and everything was fine. So he added your site. Congratulations.

By the way, that other editor told me that Netscape 4.75 is his preferred browser ... So it's probably mainly this outdated program that caused your listing problems.
