Hi,

I have submitted our wholesale jewelry supply site (http://www.timewellcorp.com) about 4 times in the past 12 months. I always waited more than 6 weeks before I submitted it again. I also tried to submit to different category based on the sites similar to mine since the original category I submitted does not have an editor. The category of my last submission was:
Business: Wholesale Trade: Crafts Supplies (http://dmoz.org/Business/Wholesale_Trade/Crafts_Supplies/)

Could someone check the status for me or let me know what I did wrong?

First, you should submit to one category only--the category that is the most appropriate placement for your site. Submitting to numerous categories in hopes of being listed could be viewed as spam eventually. That just makes more work for the editor in the inappropriate category because they will have to forward it to where it belongs. The only exception would be if you have a brick and mortar store then I would suggest submitting to the appropriate category in /Regional/ for a second listing.

Also, it doesn't matter that there is no assigned editor as there is always someone who can edit in that category. This would include someone listed higher up on the tree or those of us with editall or meta privledges. When you resubmit every 6 weeks, it overrides the date on your previous submission which could hurt you--depending on how an editor sorts the queue. Many of us sort by date of submission (Oldest to newest), and in that case you would keep sending your site to the end of the line. 12/Mar/2003. There are currently over 100 sites waiting in that queue, so it may take awhile. It does appear to me from looking at your site that this is likely the appropriate category. You may inquire back here after a month has passed, but please use this same thread.

Our site is selling wholesale jewelry supplies. Originally, I submitted it to the category http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Jewelry/Supplies/ but I did not get any response for quite a while. So I thought we did not get listed because our wholesale-only nature. Later I found a similar site to ours is listed in http://dmoz.org/Business/Wholesale_Trade/Crafts_Supplies/.
So I resubmit it to that category. I wish I knew better then.
