The sport of wakeskating and wakeskates is not (currently) a category within the ODP, so that may be part of the delay (not to mention the current access glitch).
First, let me say that you did submit it to the proper category. Often http://dmoz.org/Sporst/Water_Sports is a high-level (general) category that often receives misplaced submissions.
Should a Wakeskating category get created based on this site and others, either directly under 'Water_Sports' or as a subcategory of http://dmoz.org/Sports/Water_Sports/Water_Skiing_and_Wakeboarding or it may create the need for a "Tow_Sports" category to include waterskiing, wakeboarding, wakeskating and related sports. Adding a site for a 'new' sport can cause delays to allow the editing community to come up with the best location.
Please consider applying to become editor of this (possibly future, read as "I'm not making promises to its creation.") category to offer impartial, objective sites, titles and description. Doing so, may increase the visibility of the sport.

Yes, I noticed it wasn't a category, and saw that Wakeskate.com was listed in the high-level general category, so I figured an editor made a decision to not include wakeskating in the wakeboarding category.
If you create a Wakeskating category, it would most likely be small, since there are very few sites that exclusively focus on it, although many wakeboarding sites cover the sport to some extent. It's best place might actually just be within the Wakeboarding category until there are enough wakeskating sites to justify it breaking into a seperate category.
