Your submission of June 26th is still waiting for review, along with more than 100 sites in that category. Please be patient.

In the meantime you may have a look at your site using Netscape 4 - it really looks awful there. (I hope this is better with newer versions of Netscape, as it is with the Internet Explorer.)

Yours,
Robert

OK, that won't necessarily preclude a site from being listed. But you should put some notice on the site, so an editor using Netscape 4 will know to leave for someone else using some supported browser.

Your hoping, only 2months, my company www.hivrdi.org have been waiting since May.

And apparently we are the only site waiting in the category.

Just thought I'd let you know...

Perhaps, the DMOZ slogan "HUMANS do it better" is not quite correct.

I propse the new slogan: "HUMANS do it better, but slowly" :)

Dear Sirs,

We received the same answer 4 months ago! Just take a look above.

Does it mean that nothing was done to process sites queue for the specified category?

Would you please let us know how many editors are assigned for the http://dmoz.org/Business/E-Commerce/Marketplaces/ category? Perhaps, it will be better to submit our site in some other category?

Thanks in advance,

No. All it means is that your site has not yet been reviewed.

Would you please let us know how many editors are assigned for the http://dmoz.org/Business/E-Commerce/Marketplaces/ category? Perhaps, it will be better to submit our site in some other category?

Any editor who can edit in Business/E-Commerce/ and Business/ can edit in all the subcategories; their names are on the bottom of the page for the categories. In addition, any Editall or Meta editor have editing rights in the entire directory. So while there is no named editor for this particular category, it is not abandoned, as you may see from the "Last Updated" stamp at the bottom of the page.

Submitting to a category that is not the best fit for your site will only make your wait longer. The editor who finds your site waiting in that category will merely send it to the category where it belongs - and since it's waiting there already (supposing that is the best fit - I can't judge that) you would not have won anything by doing that.

The only thing you can do is wait.
