Have you any idea when my site will be accepted in the dmoz open directory, I last submitted it on the 22/10/2004. I can't understand why I am not listed, maybe my site requires something that is not there.

Hope someone out there can help me.

What was the date of the most recent submission? It seems to be more recent than October. Thanks.

You are right it was later than October, I submitted my site twice, first time was in October and again beginning of November.

Sadly this thread must grow in size, as I must tell you that you should have read the guidelines for this forum in more detail. Please come back at least a month after you submitted, and reply to the thread with the words "Bumping, please, a month has passed" :)

I think you are missing the point, because you now have to wait a complete month before you can ask about your status. Everone here is really trying to help you. Please don't submit again and please come back on December 15 and ask again.

Thank's for your reply, looks like I could be waiting for a long time before my site is reviewed which was submitted to

Please could an editor out there review my site soon, as I am desparate to get listed in the dmoz open directory. I know there are a lot of sites out there waiting for review also, but please could someone have a look at my site soon.

You fail to understand how the directory works - there are tens thousands of site owners who want their sites to be reviewed and no one will go out and review your site because of a request in here. The instant we did that, this forum would have have to close down from overload.

If your business is relying on an ODP listing, your should reconsider your business plan.

Dear bobrat,

Thank you for your propmt reply.

My business plan is in order and yes getting an ODP listing is also very important for our business, as we would then be listed in other search engines directories (ie Google, Yahoo etc). Most of our sales come from the internet, but it would be nice for us to be seen in more directories.
