Dear valued moderators,

Last year we submitted our site and an editor advised us to do some changes on our site to be more userfriendly. We worked long on doing so and we resubmitted the site about 5 weeks ago and if there is any exciting news to share, please go ahead.

[Readme]t[/readme] We need to know where you submitted it, and, if you checked earlier, please use the existing thread.

Furthermore, we'd only list the root directory (http://www.worldvacationrentals.net ), as it's easy to get to the English language directory from the flag.

Finally, you could possibly qualify for listings in the World/Deutsch and World/Magyar sections, if the listings have sufficient unique content which is not machine-translated. (I see it was looked at somewhere in World/Magyar, but I don't know where it is now.)

Thanks for reply

I actually submitted the link as indicated above, because we have actually three independent sites (English, German, Hungarian) under the domain worldvacationrentals.net. As I agree with you, the German part and the Hungarian part has no business in being in the English section of DMOZ, however we feel these sites deserve to be listed under each respective language. Would you rather submit the base URL to each language?

I don't know the exact date unfortunately, but I submitted to

Yes. If the content in each language is reachable from the root url, we prefer to list the root in each appropriate language. Thanks.

The submission is waiting review in the category you cited.

I appreciate your input

Since I submitted the URL in the above mentioned format, would I have to resubmit it with the base url or will the editor take care of that.

Cheers

Actually, now that I look again, the one I can see waiting there is the root. I don't see any evidence of the deeplink. And yes, the reviewing editor would fix it anyway. :)

Hi guys, just wondering if there is any update

Dear Editors,

Are you able to tell if there is any update on the inclusion of the above mentioned site?

We would appreciate it very much

We'll give an update on submitted sites once every six months...that is, on or after January 10.

I thought it was between 6-8 weeks

Hi Hutcheson,

I was under the impression that the inclusion may take 6-8 weeks. am I interpreting that correct or did I misunderstand your statement?

Cheers

A submitted site will wait for review from a few minutes up and past a few years. It depends on the activity of the volunteer editors in the category in question. There is more information about this in our FAQ: http://resource-zone.com/forum/faq.php?faq=odp#faq_how_long .

The time we ask submitters to wait between status requests does not say anything about the time until review of your site; it's just a way to manage the volume of status requests we get. Thank you for yor understanding.

Thanks for that nea

In the incident that a listing is not being accepted for whatever reason, is the editor notifying the site owner normally or is the listing silently deleted from your system?

Thanks

I won't quote the FAQ, but site owners and submitters are not normally informed when a site listing is approved, deleted, moved, sent to a Test/Misplaced category, or otherwise changed.

Hello :)

As mentioned before by hutcheson:

We'll give an update on submitted sites once every six months...that is, on or after January 10.

If you bump this thread after the date mentioned someone will be happy to give you another update.

Thanks :)

Hi guys, is there an update in sight?

Any good news would be highly appreciated.

Take care and have a happy, healthy and successful year. Unfortunately, not everyone in the world can share these blessings right now.

Are there any news?

I am rephrasing my question as it seems that the post has been burried again.

Cheers
