I have been reading all the documentation on this forum including "why hasn’t my site been accepted into dmoz", "How to get your site listed FOUR times faster!", "How long until my site will be reviewed?" and many more.

I have spoken to many ODP editors on various well respected forums such as digitalpoint and they have all come up with one reason why my site has not been listed, they believe the category gets too many submissions and its not being maintained, the category is http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Classifieds/Automotive/

Its the appropriate category and my site is well respected in the community it is in the top 10 of most classified vehicles online with just under 1 Million cars. Its been in the press multiple times and receives many thousands of unique hits per day.

I have no idea why it has not been listed for the last 3 years, I have only submitted the site every 9 months to avoid an issues.

Is there any way to determine what the problem is as all of the sites that are similar to mine are listed and many others that are little know to the industry.

I have not mentioned my site here inline with your guidelines.

Would it be possible to send a PM to one of the moderators to get further information or perhaps a some feedback on the category http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Classifieds/Automotive/

Your suggestions are much appreciated.

Unfortunately, we no longer give status information here.

No, that really wouldn't be appropriate.

I would expect that there aren't many editors eager to edit Classifieds categories, which is the likeliest explanation for why your site hasn't been listed yet (assuming it's listable).
