However, when I do Google Search I find my site, when I do Dmoz I don't. When I need to add my URL I get that same message .. one month?? perhaps more.

Hi

Google merely uses the ODP data to create their directory. As part of the license to use the data, it has links to the ODP for suggestng sites, becoming an editor etc.

If you look at the yellow announcement thread at the top of this forum, you will see that the ODP/DMOZ is having problems at the moment and so these links do not work as expected.

regards

Thanks Eric, I still wonder if DMOZ will soon accept new listings. I think DMOZ is a strong tool. My site is pretty well listed in other engines including Google.

The Announcement at the top of every forum will be updated when there is more information about the current technical problems.
And to correct this very common misunderstanding, the ODP is not a listing service, so it will never "accept" listings. When things are working again, you are very welcome to suggest any site for review by a volunteer editor, who will decide whether or not to list it. Please see the FAQ and public ODP documentation for more details. Thank you. :)
