I have a blog. Can it be listed on dmoz?

I do not understand the line "if it were a blog". It is a blog, and it is listed with a blog website.

It obviously has links to my company website, but it also has and will have more links to all types of websites.
Do you reckon it's a waste of time to register it under the blogs section?

Thanks by the way, I never knew there was a blog category on dmoz. In hind sight it seems very obvious to look under computers/internet. The word "computers" always sets me thinking in terms of hardware for sale, so I didn't even consider going down that road!

Not Regional unless you have an address and a store/business etc.
...Or the topic is of a regional nature.

Generally speaking, a weblog is treated as any other site.

The other thing you need to be careful of, and intellectually honest about, is being sure that the blog is a blog, and not just a way to flog interest in your real estate company. I don't think, from the tone and tenor of my private communication with you, that this will be a problem, but it needs to be stated for others who read these forums.

Thanks Spectregunner. I can very well see your point.

The aim of the blog is to provide a platform where I can comment on real estate in Malta, without any sales pitch. It also makes it possible for anyone to post any comments or suggestions.
The people visiting the blog will in most probability not be actively looking for property, so funneling directly to my commercial website is not viable. 62582.com does not even have any commercial banners or banner links on it for the simple reason that I am not after flogging up the number of hits.
The blog does link occassionaly to my other site and 3rd. party external ones through text links, simply to enhance descriptions of localities, or when I am commenting on a particularly well valued property I would have seen.

Blogs, like forums and mailing lists, are largely judged by the amount of content (i.e. posts/entries) they have. I'd personally recommend you wait until you have a lot more entries before submitting the blog to the ODP.
