I submitted my Site for inclusion into DMOZ <URL removed> several years ago and I simply have no idea whether my application has been rejected or still awaiting review.

I appreciate that editors work hard to keep DMOZ running which is why I have not asked before. Are there any editors that can help me? :)

If your website is listable (self check), some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

As you can imagine DMOZ and it's human editors have a huge amount of submissions coming in each day so its not possible to get everything done in the time we assume they should do it in. In good time things will be done. W e have to be patient.

Hi Jim

I have also been waiting patiently for years. I can truly appreciate volunteers, as I've often donated my services myself. Are there ways we can help that will in turn help us? Warm regards Nicola

There are two options to help DMOZ.

The first, and most simple one is to suggest good websites.
Although editors do find websites themself it is impossible for us to find all good websites by ourself.

The second option is to become an editor.
The more editors there are the more websites can be looked at and the more websites will be listed.

Will any of these options influence the review proces for a website you suggested. Not directly but it might happen indirectly.

When many good sites for a subject are suggested by the public chances are that an editor will notice this and spend time reviewing them.

When you are an editor and process suggested sites in a small category an editor with higher privileges will get time free to look at other suggestions.
